How much does the samba course costs?
All regular samba classes in Rotterdam are available as a package of 12 one-hour lessons for €120.
For first-time students, a one-time administrative fee of €15 applies.
When do the samba lessons in Rotterdam take place?
The weekly beginner level lesson takes place on Mondays between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. They are followed by more advanced level classes (8 p.m. - 9 p.m.).
In the months/weeks before the Zomercarnaval parade, we also book extra lessons on the weekends.
Do I need samba shoes to join?
No, samba shoes are not required to start. You can join the classes in comfortable sports shoes or even barefoot. Over time, as you progress and feel more confident, you may choose to purchase professional samba shoes, but this is completely optional and not necessary for beginners.
What should I bring to my first samba class?
Bring water and... a good mood. Samba is energetic and joyful, so staying hydrated and coming with an open mindset will help you enjoy the class even more. Some dancers like to join the class with a towel, hair tie or spare set of clothes.
